Chapter 43 - The Broadcast from Rue du Rhône

Arthur lunged forward across the table, his hands reaching for the ledger. "Give me the book, you little bitch!"

Before he could cross two feet, Director Meyer raised a single finger. Two Swiss bank security officers stepped forward instantly, catching Arthur by the arms and twisting him face-down onto the glass conference table with ruthless efficiency.

"In Banque Privée Vaneau, Mr. Carter," Meyer said with icy disdain, "we do not tolerate assaults on our principal trustees."

"Henrik," I spoke into my lapel mic. "Execute."

Through the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Geneva, the digital financial ticker on the opposite corporate building began to scroll frantically.

Two miles away in his surveillance van, Henrik had tapped directly into the international corporate wire services, uploading every forged signature, every illegal wire transfer, every offshore shell invoice Arthur had used over the last fifteen years to bleed our family trust and manipulate regional banks in New York.

Arthur’s lead attorney looked down at his vibrating phone, his face draining of all color. "Dear God... it’s on Bloomberg. It’s on the Wall Street Journal wire. The entire Delaware audit trail has been published with federal forensic certifications."

Arthur struggled against the security guards holding him down, his voice cracking into a desperate shriek. "Cancel the feed! Call our crisis firm in London! Tell them it's a deepfake!"

"No one is buying your lies anymore, Arthur," Briana said, stepping forward until she was inches from his face. "You told Mom you were building a future for me. You told her Sylvia was the selfish one. But you were stealing our lives, one penny and one lie at a time. The world knows what you are now."

Arthur’s attorneys began packing their briefcases in furious haste, ignoring their client’s frantic orders. They knew when a case was lost, and they knew Arthur Carter was heading straight into federal custody the second his plane touched American soil.

"Director Meyer," I said, standing up from the table. "Initiate the full transfer of the operational reserves to Margaret’s Foundation in Cold Spring, New York. And revoke Mr. Carter’s signatory clearance across all Swiss banking networks."

"With pleasure, Miss Carter," Meyer replied.

Arthur looked up from the table, defeated, panting, his arrogant facade utterly annihilated. "Sylvia... please. You can't leave me with nothing. We're blood."

"You forgot that when you tried to take everything I owned," I replied. "Enjoy the walk back to the airport."
