Chapter 36 - The Invitation from Zurich

Two days later, docked in a private marina in Athens, a courier delivered a heavy, wax-sealed envelope bearing the crest of the Swiss Federal Banking Syndicate. Inside was an invitation addressed jointly to Eleanor Vane and Dante Thorne, requesting our presence at an exclusive, closed-door conclave of international asset managers in Zurich. The stakes were astronomical: the redistribution of a multi-billion-dollar sovereign fund left abandoned after a massive European banking scandal. Dante laid the document across the mahogany table in the yacht's study, his brow furrowed in concentration. "This isn't just a business meeting," Dante analyzed, tapping the embossed gold lettering. "It’s a trial by fire. The most powerful financial cartels in Europe will be in that room, testing whether we have the stomach to play at the highest level of global capital." I traced the edge of the seal with my fingernail, a thrill of adrenaline racing through my veins. "Let's accept," I said without hesitation. "It's time they learned who is really pulling the strings."
